Si sono tenuti questa notte in America (13 gennaio) i Critics’ Choice Awards.
Durante lo show, giunto alla sua 24^ edizione e presentato quest’anno da Taye Diggs, vengono consegnati i premi per categorie cinematografiche e televisive scelti da una giuria di critici cinematografici e televisivi (BFCA e BFJA) appartenenti alle principali testate giornalistiche statunitensi.
E’ una delle tante tappe dell’Awards Season che però non ha riservato, a mio parere, grandi sorprese: infatti, a ritirare i premi durante la serata sono state, nella maggior parte dei casi, gli stessi dei Golden Globes. L’eccezione viene fatta da una commossa Lady Gaga, che in questa occasione vince come co-Miglior attrice protagonista (parimerito con Glenn Close che si era aggiudicata il Globe) e dalla categoria Miglior film d’animazione che viene qui assegnato a Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Crazy Rich Asians si porta a casa il premio come miglior film comedy a questo turno, mentre Black Panther riesce a strappare tre premi legati “alla produzione” (Best Production Design, Best Costume Design e Best Visual Effects).
